Feature

Every note lives
on a timecode.

Feedback dies in email because it has no address. In Aperture, a comment is pinned to a moment — 00:42:18, this frame — and the conversation grows underneath it. When it's decided, you resolve it. The record stays with the work.

The easy explanation

Four words to learn: pin, thread, resolve, mention.

PIN
Comment on a moment

Click anywhere in the player. The note is anchored to that exact frame — not "somewhere in the intro".

THREAD
Discuss underneath

Replies stack in the thread, so one topic = one place. Nobody relitigates a note that was already answered.

RESOLVE
Mark it decided

Resolved threads stay searchable — the decision and its reasons remain on the record.

MENTION
Pull the right person

@mara gets a notification and lands on the exact frame. No forwarded screenshots.

Team vs guest

Two rooms. Never confused.

  • Internal threads

Team notes, candid and fast. Guests never see these — it's a separate conversation space.

  • Guest threads

Client comments via share link, on the same frames, in their own room. Nothing leaks by accident.

  • One record

Both rooms feed the same audit trail. Approvals are decisions, not vibes.

Feedback, with a postal code

"Somewhere around 1:30" is not a location.

Every comment is pinned to a frame, every decision gets a thread, every resolve stays on the record. Notes finally know where they live.

Pin a comment

What this replaces.

  • "Around 1:30 somewhere" — no. Frame-anchored, every time
  • Email chains with screenshots and no version
  • Decisions that evaporate when the person who made them moves on
  • Client notes mixed with team notes in one unsafe soup

"The comment is the meeting — held at the exact frame where it matters."
